As of January 2009 we became a family of six as we brought home our 2 (deaf) Ethiopian sons! January 2010 our 3rd daughter was born and now we are a family of 7! What a blessing! Jillian is a freelance American Sign Language(ASL) Interpreter but primarily a stay-at-home mom. Ashley is a Combat Engineer for the Marine Corps. This is a little of our journey!

My littlest and my biggest...

...hanging out watching a Signing Time DVD together. I love how easy and natural their relationship is, regardless of age or background. he looks out for her, protects her, helps her, and she follows him, pats him playfully, and tries to sign to him. They both look for the other, if one isn't present in our group.
While the boys have only been here less than 3 years, for her, they have always been here. They always were a part of the family, without question or complication.

It is simply beautiful.

What a sweet sibling bond!

Great photo. I love those sibling relationships. I have a 19-year-old and a 5-year-old... and never expected how simply they would love each other.

Hey girl! Just wanted to say I notice him touching his ear in this photo and also in the last post, as a baby, touching his ear. Is he self-soothing or is he hearing? God is good, we can't discount anything! Just noticing...and hoping...Ginger
