Primo: So, everything they need, the food and all is in that cup?
Me: Yes, The instructions say not to open the lid, their food is in there.
Primo: Wow! So they are just crawling around in there until we tell them to make a cocoon?
Me: No, they know how to do it on their own, when they are ready. It takes time, they have to eat their food, grow, and then hang from the lid. 
Primo: Then the cocoon, and then the metamorphosis?
Me: Yes! We get to watch and enjoy them now, but once we have enough cocoons, we need to put them in the butterfly garden and wait for them to hatch.
Primo: So the metamorphosis is up to them, as well?
Me: Yes.

Primo: I like watching them. It reminds me of Vivace. He has all he needs in Florida, when he is ready for his metamorphosis, he can just do it.
